2025 Challenge #1

Jan-May 2025 Challenge - Panels!

You must use a panel or part of a panel in your quilted project. Your

project can be anything quilted (quilt, bag, wall hanging, table runner,

mug rug, pillow, etc) Any project under 24” should be finished. And, i

should have been worked on or finished during the challenge period

This challenge is from January 23rd until May 22nd.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

bonbizzaro@gmail.com or find me on Facebook Messenger

Here are some panel examples:

Here are 2 quilts using the same panel. Notice how the border colors

as well as the placement of the panel creates dramatically differen

looks.

The 'attic window' design is often used to create windows looking out
onto a panel.

Offsetting the panel and using 'sidelights' or other elements on two o
three sides of the panel creates a dynamic look.

Cutting a panel into smaller blocks creates a lot of interest and things
to look at

This view looking out a window can be achieved by using ready made
1/4 inch fusible bias tape. I have some gathering dust somewhere

Panels are great for quick and easy kids quilts, too.

Detailed borders can draw the eye in to your focal point, the panel.

This person really had some fun with the borders and I love it.
